Despite the unusually brisk afternoon winds, Forest Winds managed to get John and Melissa aloft (about 1700 ft AGL) to celebrate Melissa’s birthday. We really covered some ground (roughly 20 miles) during the flight, and at one point kissed a pine tree. We’ve got the pine cones to prove it! Happy Birthday Melissa!!!
On May 12, 2007 Chip and Whitney exchanged vows and began their new life together as husband and wife. Forest Winds was there for the celebration! With the balloon cold inflated, the couple walked inside and embraced for a romantic moment.
After the balloon was brought hot, Chip and Whitney were lifted above the adoring family and friends below. The backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains was absolutely beautiful.
Afterwards, Britney and family make a toast to “Always Soft Landings…”
