Stephanie, Jeff, and Becky joined the Forest Winds Hot Air Balloon Team for an early morning sunrise flight across Lynchburg on June 23, 2007. The Pride of Forest lifted off in Madison Heights at 7:10 AM and flew across the James River and skies of Lynchburg, ultimately returning to Forest for a picture perfect landing around 8:20 AM. What a great way to start the day!

On June 21, 2007 Forest Winds returned to the Good Shepherd Baptist Church (Christiansburg, VA) to provide kids of all ages an opportunity to be lifted above the festivities taking place on the ground. Up, down, up, down…what a great way to top off a great week in vacation bible school. Many thanks go out to the wonderful volunteers from the church who helped out with the ground operations. Forest Winds couldn’t have done it without you!

Kevin and son (also Kevin), along with neighbor Dean, enjoyed a boys night out in our newest balloon, The Pride of Forest. After a beautiful landing, all the guys feasted on good food and sparkling grape juice. The sunset wasn’t half bad either!

Up, up and away! Good Shepherd Baptist Church (Christiansburg, VA) kicked off their vacation bible school on June 16, 2007, and Forest Winds was there for the celebration. Kids of all ages took the opportunity to see what a real hot air balloon looked like from a different perspective…from the inside! Way cool!!! A special thank you goes out to Ruthie for inviting us there.
