Weather Finally Breaks and Forest Winds Returns to the Air!

Forest Winds finally returned to the air on January 12th after a long stint of pretty crummy weather. Pictured below is student pilot Ed taking The Peaks of Otter Trotter out for a leisurely early morning ride. The balloon took off from Boonsboro and floated southwest towards Jefferson Forest High School. Midway, Ed brought it down for a short touch and go landing (and it was a beautiful textbook landing). After about 50 minutes from takeoff, Ed navigated the balloon to its final landing spot, just across the street from Jefferson Forest High School. It sure was nice getting back up in the air, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect flight!
